Get £100 for switching to Halifax (then £5 free each month)
I opened an account with Halifax recently because of this offer and I had the £100 in my account within 7 days. They're really quick to open your account - you do have to do a 'switch' from your current bank account of your direct debits (you have to have at least two) but if you want to you can always switch these back afterwards. Also you don't have to be paying any regular amount in to qualify for the £100. If you do have £750 or more going in each month though, and sign up for their Reward account (it's free), you get £5 free every month.

This is a good deal. I've been with Halifax for about ten years, they are a good bank. Good online facilities. If you're with Lloyds you'll already be familiar with it as it's exactly the same control panel - Halifax is part of the Lloyds group (but don't let that put you off, they're much better). Customer service has always been very good as well.
