How it works
Amazon currently lists Asset One by Jack Mars at £0.00 for the Kindle edition, with a separate Buy now button at that price. It opens the Lara King espionage series, following a CIA operative drawn into a nuclear-terror threat. The checked English edition is around 169 pages, so this is a full short thriller rather than the free reading sample. The zero-price purchase is separate from any subscription reading offer.
Select the individual Kindle edition and check that Buy now still says £0.00 before claiming. There is no postage and you can read it using a compatible Kindle device or the Kindle app. Paperback, audiobook upgrades and multi-book series purchases are paid alternatives; the page offers a ten-book purchase that is not included in this freebie. No firm end date was confirmed, so the price may change without warning. An Amazon account is required and the ebook remains subject to Kindle licensing and account terms.
