How it works
Core Keeper is available to play free on Steam for a limited weekend. The game mixes underground exploration, mining, crafting and base building, with solo play or online co-operative sessions for up to eight players. It is a useful opportunity to try the gameplay with friends before deciding whether it is the kind of survival adventure you would want to buy.
Select the temporary Play Game option on the Steam page while the free weekend is running. The store currently lists the window as ending on 12 October; use the regional time displayed on the page for the exact cut-off. This is not a free-to-keep giveaway: access ends when the trial finishes unless you purchase the game. Check the system requirements and download size in time to make worthwhile use of the remaining trial.
