Etsy: sell your own creative products, with fees to factor in
Open a UK Etsy shop for eligible creative products; income depends on sales after fees, materials and fulfilment.

How it works
Etsy can be an option for UK makers and designers who have a product people genuinely want to buy. Eligible listings must meet its Creativity Standards; opening a shop is not permission to resell any mass-produced item or use someone else’s artwork. Prepare good photos, accurate descriptions and realistic fulfilment times. This is running a small shop, not being paid simply to register, and there is no guaranteed number of sales.
Budget carefully: listings cost US$0.20, converted into your payment currency, and generally last four months. Etsy charges a 6.5% transaction fee; UK payment processing is 4% plus £0.20, with a 0.48% regulatory operating fee also applicable. A one-time setup fee may be displayed during onboarding. VAT on fees, advertising charges and currency conversion can add more. Subtract materials, packaging, postage and your time before deciding whether a price is worthwhile. Read the current fees and bank-payment arrangements before paying to open your shop.
