How it works
Fiverr is an established international marketplace available to UK freelancers who can deliver a specific service, such as proofreading, illustration, video editing or website work. You create a seller profile and a clearly scoped offer, known as a Gig, with your price, delivery time and included revisions. It is free to join, but this is paid client work rather than a quick survey or passive-income scheme. Own-account users normally need to be 18 or over; younger users have a separate parent-owned-account policy.
Price for the time involved and the seller deduction: Fiverr credits 80% of a successfully completed order’s purchase amount to the freelancer. Earnings normally have a clearance period before withdrawal, and payout or currency-conversion costs may also apply. Build a small portfolio, explain exactly what a buyer receives and keep orders and payments on the platform. Competition is substantial and your first orders are not guaranteed. Avoid spending on optional seller subscriptions or promotion before you have tested demand, and never follow a buyer’s suspicious external payment link.
