How it works
Blackpool’s Christmas By The Sea village has a free outdoor skating rink near Blackpool Tower from 20 November to 3 January. The surface is synthetic, and skate hire is included. VisitBlackpool lists opening hours as noon to 9pm each day except Christmas Day. There is no advance booking, so go to the rink to get your skates.
The rink holds up to 60 skaters at a time, so allow for a queue at busy times. Skate aids and disability aids are available. Check the organiser’s page before travelling because weather can change the opening times. Budget separately for transport, food or any fairground rides you want to try.
