Free Swansea buses on 19 festive dates from 21 November, with time and route limits

Selected November and December journeys within Swansea are free; park-and-ride routes and trips outside the area are excluded.

How it works

Swansea Council’s festive free-bus scheme runs on 21–22 and 28–29 November; 5–6, 12–13 and 19–20 December; and 21–24 and 27–31 December 2026. Journeys normally need to start before 7pm, extended to before 9pm on 22 November for the Christmas Parade. Both the start and destination must be inside the council’s defined Swansea area. Visitors can use the offer without proving local residence; it is not available today or every day throughout November and December.

Included operators are First Cymru, Adventure Travel, South Wales Transport and DANSA. National Express and Flixbus coaches and First Cymru park-and-ride services 51 and 52 are excluded. If your destination is outside the Swansea boundary, the whole trip is charged, not just the section beyond it. Tell the driver where you are going and check the council’s map before boarding. Christmas and Boxing Day are not included, and festive timetables may differ, so confirm both outward and return services with the operator. Existing season tickets do not receive a refund or extension.
