Ko-fi: earn from creative commissions, downloads and supporter tips
A home-based option for creators with something useful to sell or an audience to support them; most sales carry a 5% platform fee plus processing.

How it works
Ko-fi lets creators receive supporter tips, sell downloads or accept commissions such as custom artwork and other agreed digital work. It can be used from home in the UK, supports pounds and requires users to be at least 18. You need your own audience or customers: opening a page does not bring a wage or guarantee that anyone will buy. The service is operated by active UK company Ko-fi Labs Limited, but you remain responsible for the work you sell and the rights to use any material in it.
Both current account modes have no monthly fee. Free mode takes no Ko-fi fee on one-off tips but charges 5% on shop sales, commissions, memberships and monthly tips; Standard mode also takes 5% on one-off tips. New accounts start with the additional features switched on, so check your payment settings. PayPal or Stripe processing fees apply separately. Payments go directly to your connected account with no Ko-fi balance or minimum cash-out, but bank settlement and holds depend on the processor. Allow for promotion, revisions, refunds and tax, and agree a clear delivery scope before taking on a commission.
