How it works
Screwfix has the Makita DHP490STJ brushless 18V LXT combi drill kit at £149.99. Unlike a bare-tool offer, this includes two 5Ah batteries, a charger and a Makpac case, so it is worth looking at if you need a complete starting kit rather than just another drill body. The drill has a 13mm chuck and a quoted maximum torque of 65Nm.
A combi drill covers screwdriving and ordinary drilling, with a hammer setting for suitable masonry work, but it is not a replacement for an SDS machine when you have tougher drilling to do. Check the exact kit code when comparing prices, since Makita packages can differ substantially in their batteries and accessories. Screwfix offers collection and delivery options; confirm stock at your chosen branch or for your postcode before planning a trip.
