How it works

Lidl is listing the Minky 12m heated airer, model IH89290103, at £34.99. It folds flat and offers 12 metres of drying space, with a stated capacity of up to 16kg of wet laundry. This could be useful when outdoor drying is difficult, but it still needs space and ventilation; it is not a tumble dryer and should not be expected to dry every load equally quickly.

The open dimensions are approximately 94cm high, 148cm wide and 54cm deep, so measure your intended spot first. The retailer lists a one-year warranty. Check stock with your local Lidl before making a special trip, because this is a limited in-store listing rather than guaranteed nationwide delivery. Electricity is an extra ongoing cost and depends on the appliance’s rated power and your tariff. Follow the manufacturer’s loading and safety instructions, and do not rely on an unsupported pennies-per-load claim.
