Outschool: teach your own online classes to children from home
UK adults with a useful subject to teach can apply; you set class prices, keep 70% and need approval and a background check.

How it works
Outschool lets approved educators offer live online classes and other learning formats for children, with subjects ranging beyond school tutoring to creative interests and practical skills. UK residents aged 18 or over can apply if they live in an approved country for at least six months of the year. A formal teaching qualification is not essential, but subject knowledge, clear English, a suitable computer and reliable internet above 3Mbps in both directions are required. Applications, identity verification and a criminal background check come before teaching. You must also follow its child-safety and class-content policies.
You choose the class price and receive 70% of that price per enrolled learner; Outschool retains 30%. That is a share of actual sales, not an hourly wage or a promise that classes will fill. Count preparation, parent messages, cancellations, equipment and tax when judging the return. Payments currently use PayPal, while Outschool is rolling out a move to Stripe and bank payouts: follow the instructions and timing in your teacher dashboard. Upfront classes normally pay 7–8 days after starting, with recurring schedules differing. Currency conversion may affect what reaches a UK account, and refunds can reduce earnings.
