How it works

Redbubble lets you upload your own artwork and choose which products carry it. Set up your profile and payment details, then make at least five designs public with one or more products enabled on each before your shop can go live. Production and dispatch are handled through the marketplace’s fulfilment partners. Spend time checking how a design sits on each product, and use only work you have permission to sell. Opening a shop is free.

Your margin is the markup over the product’s base price on an eligible shipped sale. Redbubble currently deducts 50% of gross artist earnings on Standard accounts and 20% on Premium, with no platform fee on Pro. Standard and Premium can also incur a fee on earnings from markup above 20%. For example, a £20 base price at 20% markup gives a £4 margin before fees, or £2 after the Standard platform fee alone. UK payouts are monthly once the cleared balance reaches £10 after fees. Uploading a catalogue may take hours and sales can be sporadic.
